In the February 12th edition of Rolling Stone magazine in 1976, David Bowie stated, "Rock has always been THE DEVIL'S MUSIC . . .." (Rolling Stone, Feb. 12, 1976) For many years rock music has been accused of being entertainment for the devil.  So we move into the year 2007 and we are introduced to Martin Smith, Stu G, Jon Thatcher, Tim Jupp, and Stew Smith better known as Delirious?. Delirious? Has gained international recognition as a well loved rock/ worship band.  Is the music of Delirious? the Devils Music?  With song titles such as Heaven, Miracle Maker, and Lord, You Have My Heart, I don’t think the Devil has a chance.

Understanding the life lessons of one band and shaping those lessons into number one chart toppers worldwide is exactly what “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever” is about.  From stories of Stu G walking down Falls Road in West Belfast which brought about the song, “Heaven”, or stories of how the Rwanda genocide in 1994 and September 11, 2001 in America spawns lyrics like, “Here I am humbled by your majesty, covered by your grace so free, here I am knowing I’m a sinful man covered by the blood of the lamb,” in the song Majesty. Five men together, with their own relationships and evaluating the relationship they have individually with Jesus Christ.

Constant touring, the rollercoaster which is life with it’s valley’s and it’s mountains, brings about a deeper sense of what kind of relationship we should have with Christ.  I now know that the men of Delirious? are without doubt,  stronger men of faith,  after dealing with their own individual life lessons and the lessons learned together in building one of today’s most recognized rock/ worship bands worldwide.  Star’s in their own right, they see themselves in a very humble place, and they see that the true star, and light of this world is indeed Jesus Christ.  Rock …the Devils Music, I think not, especially when rock has Delirious?.
