Learn about the history of Christmas:
Christmas
(literally, the Mass of Christ) is a traditional holiday in the Christian calendar which takes place around the end of December and celebrates the nativity of Jesus Christ. Christmas is also celebrated as a secular holiday throughout much of the world, including countries with small Christian populations, such as Japan. The precise date of the birth and historicity of Jesus are much debated (see Jesus). Read Entire Article

What Is A Blessing?
By Monique Nicole Fox

A blessing is being able to have a child
Seeing his or her bright eyes and smile

A blessing is the clear blue sky, the green grass
A smile or a hello to a stranger as you walk pass

A blessing is having family and friends that love you
And sticks together in good and bad times like glue

A blessing is having a faithful and respectful companion or spouse
Wanting to go to a peaceful and cheery home free of louse

A blessing is having a clothes, food, a car, a house or apartment
And being able to pay some debts with dollar bills and cents

A blessing is having God here, there and everywhere
Giving much happiness, joy, and tender loving care

God Gave Me A Gift
By Monique Nicole Fox

God gave me a gift
that didn’t come for my birthday or for Christmas
but during March; springtime
a blessing I'll always treasure and that’s simply divine

God gave me a gift
that doesn’t need wrapping paper or a bow
and that I can watch grow

God gave me a gift
that changed my life
which put me into gear
a maternal shift

God gave me a gift
that brought much happiness and joy
who was named Christian
A handsome baby boy
