New Testament books and now in the Bodmer library in Geneva

double folio of the Codex Sinaiticus, an uncial manuscript of the 4
century A.D., probably of the Egyptian origin. It is one of the
earliest and probably the most important complete MSS of the whole bible.
The Old Testament section reproduces the Septuagint Greek version. The
story of a monastery library at the foot of Mt. Sinai and its subsequent
purchase from Russia by the British museum is well known

papyrus document of c. 250 A.D. originally containing Ezekiel, Daniel
and Esther in the Septuagint translation. This was one of the eleven
books from an early Christina library found found North of Memphis in
Egypt. The passage shown is Daniel vii. 28 -viii. 48. From the Chester
